Terms & Conditions

  1. Diagnostic Inspection Fee:

A diagnostic inspection fee will be charged between £65 and £155, even if no fault is identified, or if the fault cannot be repaired. Please be aware that due to the nature of diagnostic processes, the initial inspection may not always pinpoint the issue immediately. In such cases, further investigation may be required, which could incur additional charges.

This is standard practice to cover the costs of time, labour, and expertise involved in performing diagnostics.

  1. Diagnostic Inspection Fee Non-Start vehicle:

The diagnostic inspection charge for a non-start vehicle typically starts at £180. This fee accounts for the extra time and effort involved in diagnosing the issue, as the process is more complex when the vehicle isn’t starting. In addition to the standard diagnostic procedures, the charge also covers the steps needed to get the vehicle started, which are necessary to determine the underlying fault causing the issue.

This charge reflects the increased labour and expertise required to troubleshoot and diagnose a non-start vehicle.

  1. Diagnostic Process:

Some faults may not be the root cause of the issues your vehicle is experiencing. As part of the diagnostic process, we may need to address and resolve secondary faults before we can identify and repair the primary issue. This process is necessary to ensure a thorough and complete resolution.

  1. Separate Faults:

If faults are unrelated, additional fees may apply for diagnosing each one separately.

This clause protects the business from being expected to solve multiple unrelated issues under a single fee.

  1. Timescales and Delivery:

The garage is not responsible for delays in parts or service times, as these depend on manufacturers or dealers.

  1. Previous Diagnostics:

Liverpool Auto Care will disregard any prior diagnoses, advisories, or suggestions from other garages. They will perform their own investigation.

This ensures the garage is not held responsible for potentially incorrect or incomplete information from other sources.

  1. Acceptance of Work and Liability:

By paying and collecting the vehicle, the customer agrees to the work done. Any recurring issues after 14 days will require a new diagnostic inspection and charge.

A clear limitation of liability for post-repair recurrence, making it clear that the customer is responsible for any follow-up issues.

  1. Vehicle Condition:

The age, condition, make, and model of the vehicle may influence the repair process. Unforeseen complications might arise, and customers should expect possible additional costs due to these factors.

  1. Warranty Policy Holder Claims:

The business will assist with warranty claims, but if there’s a delay in the warranty payment, the customer must pay upfront, and the Customer will then seek reimbursement from the warranty provider.

  1. Parts Warranty:

Any parts supplied will be covered by supplier warranty. Additional labour will be chargeable by Liverpool Auto Care.

  1. Existing Vehicle Damage:

Any pre-existing damage to the vehicle will be documented, and the garage will not be responsible for it.

  1. Right to Refuse Service:

The garage reserves the right to refuse service for any vehicle at any time if they deem it necessary.

  1. Consumables:

Consumables Charges will be applied to every service we carry out.

  1. Labour Charges:

Labour Charges will be applied to any work carried out outside the Diagnostic services.

  1. Installation Of Customer Supplied Parts:

Labour Charges will apply even in the event the part supplied is not fit for purpose.

  1. Coding & Software Updates:

All Coding & Software Updates carried out will be chargeable even if unsuccessful.

  1. Leaving Your Vehicle in Our Care.
